It’s a SaaS world out there. Almost everything is a subscription or a monthly per user fee. That’s why if you’re out comparison shopping, you’re going to have a hard time finding anything to compare to PBX. It’s not a subscription. It’s a FileMaker interface for Twilio Programmable Voice.
Most of our customers don’t want to leave a credit card on file with us, nor do we want to keep their credit card information on file. We could set up a subscription manager thru PayPal or something similar, but we don’t like that either. We yearn for a different time. Most of our customers remember the days when you could go to the computer store and buy software in a box. We miss those days too.
Because of that, we use a perpetual pricing model. You pay what it costs to integrate the software into your solution. The only time we’ll ask for more is if you’re adding on services or if we’re fixing something we didn’t break.
