For many organizations, answering answering every inbound call can be critical. But what do you do when someone in your organization doesn’t answer their phone? If you’re working in a team, this situation can be remedied by using the Automatic Call Forwarding endpoint option.
Automatic Call Forwarding diverts calls that are headed for voicemail to a different phone number instead. If desired, you can send the calls to another PBX endpoint. You can even stack up a few PBX endpoints in a “call cascade.”
By using Automatic Call Forwarding, you can do things like:
- Divert a call that the overnight dispatcher missed to their manager
- Keep your receptionist from putting people on hold by forwarding calls to other employees
- Automatically transfer missed calls from your desk phone to your cell when you’re out of the office
